General College Rules Pertaining to all Minors

- You may have more than one minor, but each minor must contain a minimum of 20 unique hours and at least ten hours of course work completed at Ohio State.
- You may not earn a minor in the same subject as your major.
- Courses in the minor may not be used on your major.
- Where appropriate, overlap between the General Education Curriculum (GEC) and minor is permissible, unless specifically disallowed for an individual minor.
- No more than 10 hours of transfer credit may be applied to any minor.
- Minors are not required for graduation.
- No course in which a grade lower than "C-" has been earned may be used to fulfill a minor program requirement.
- Courses taken on a Pass/Non-Pass basis may not be applied to the minor.
- A minimum cumulative point-hour ratio of 2.00 in all courses comprising the minor program is required for graduation.
- No student can receive credit for a course that has been audited.
Once a minor is on file in the Arts and Sciences College Office, any changes must be discussed with the faculty adviser and the College Office academic adviser.
