Dual Degree Program

The Department offers students in the Master of Arts program the option of simultaneously pursuing a dual degree within the Division of Language, Literature and Culture in the School of Education or the Program in City and Regional Planning of the Austin E. Knowlton School of Architecture. Students may elect to pursue the dual degree with other units on an ad hoc basis. Students interested in pursuing the dual degree option should consult with the Chairs of Graduate Studies in both relevant departments to receive advice and complete the appropriate forms to be filed with the Graduate School. Furthermore, students in the dual degree program may take the Master's examination or write a thesis. In either case, the student's examination/thesis committee is composed of faculty from both academic units.
